Birmingham Council proposes accessible play area, gym, & parking charges at Lickey Hills. Your feedback is wanted.

They want to build an inclusive play area. It will be next to the Visitor Centre according to plans. An outdoor gym and zip-wire might come later. The current play area is not good. Flooding and poor access are big issues.
They will turn it into a wildlife area. This will allow for future expansion. The council will finalize the play area design. They need to know if plans fit park needs. They hope to finish the new area this autumn.
New parking charges are also proposed. This could affect Lickey Hills. Sutton Park and Sheldon Country Park may also be affected. People are not happy about this. Council leader John Cotton says they must look at all options.
They want to raise income and balance the budget because of a financial crisis. Cllr Mahmood said they need to maintain green spaces. Maintaining them benefits everyone, he adds. The council faces financial struggles. Past mistakes led to this.
