They plan many new houses near Leicester Forest East. The latest plans are for “West Lubbesthorpe.” It would be next to New Lubbesthorpe.

Up to 825 more houses could be built. The houses will vary in price, and some will be for older people too. Documents show these intentions.

Shops and community spaces are planned, and a new primary school could be built there. The plans are in early stages right now, and the council hasn’t seen the full plans yet.

The developer asked about an environment report. This report checks the project’s effects, looking at environment problems and fixes.

Hallam Land could build these homes. They would spread across 45 hectares of land between Beggars Lane and Desford Road, with roads connecting to the new area.

Hallam Land mentions 825 homes as the most. The final plans may show fewer homes, as they want basic permission first so the council will check the main idea.

If they get approval, more details follow. They will send later applications for details, and projects may happen in phases sometime. No one knows the timing right now.

New Lubbesthorpe already has 4,250 homes, with around 1,148 homes done by late 2024. They also built a school, shops, and work areas.
