Luke faces Elland Road abseil to honor Neil, his friend who succumbed to cancer, battling loneliness through remembrance.

Neil died at home in Moortown with his wife, Sara, on February 5th. Sara is pregnant with their baby. The community quickly helped them have a wedding by donating £10,000.
Neil was a big Leeds fan who showed great strength. Luke, Neil’s best man, is 30 years old and will remember Neil on March 22nd.
Luke recalls Neil’s fear of heights and says he feels alone now. He wants to keep Neil’s spirit alive and remember his amazing qualities.
Luke is a roofer, so he’s not afraid of heights. He has two kids, ages six and seven, and enjoyed going to Leeds games with Neil.
Leeds United invited them to a game against Oxford United on December 21st, where Leeds won 4-0. Neil met the players and enjoyed the match.
Fans can abseil over the stadium on March 22nd if they raise £175. The money goes to the Leeds United Foundation, which helps people in need and focuses on health, education, and sports.
