Launch Pad at Blackpool Pleasure Beach gets a major upgrade with new cylinder. Improved ride experience in 2025.

This cylinder is very important for Launch Pad and really changes the ride’s experience. The installation is part of the upgrade, performed while the park was closed.
The ride looks new with fresh colors and also has new branding with a space theme. The cylinder has five parts, each around two tons, and runs at 105 PSI. Each square inch faces 105 pounds of force.
Karl Murphy said higher pressure means more force, so riders will feel a bigger difference and shoot up faster than before. This cylinder makes those exciting, weightless moments, and the official opening is in early 2025.
Amanda Thompson said they opened earlier this year, and her team did something amazing in less time. She mentioned this is an “era of evolution,” with plans to renew the ride offerings at the park; Launch Pad is only the first change coming.
Pleasure Beach Resort fully reopens on March 1. Nickelodeon Land is open for half term now, closing on February 23, and this area is geared to younger kids.
