The White Horse pub in Edgworth, Lancashire, is open again under new management after an unexpected closure.

Amanda Blinkhorn and Liam Evans now manage it. They are experienced, and Amanda is happy to revitalize the pub. Locals missed the pub a lot; it was busy on Friday and steady on Saturday.
Amanda has worked in pubs for years. A friend suggested she take on this pub, as she was looking for a pub to run. Her friend mentioned the White Horse.
Pubs are closing at about six each week. The British Beer and Pub Association issued a warning, saying the government needs to help pubs. More closures are avoidable.
Locals give the White Horse great support. They really want it to stay open, and Amanda hopes for the best. She thinks good food and drinks help, and she also stressed a welcoming attitude.
Amanda and Liam will add entertainment later. They plan live music and quizzes. The White Horse closed suddenly last November, and the owners thought the prior tenant left.
