A decision on the Lamb Doyles pub site development, envisioning fourteen houses, is due by March 24th.

They want to put fourteen houses there. The plans were filed back in April, and a decision should come by March 24th.
The plan involves building fourteen homes. Five will have three bedrooms, and nine homes will have four bedrooms. There will be townhouses and semi-detached houses.
Local people don’t seem too happy. They worry about the building’s appearance and question how water drainage will work.
Demolishing the old pub also caused concerns, as it had been there since 1832. Planners wanted more info for Dun Laoghaire Rathdown and asked about its impact on the area. Changes were requested to the design and height.
The developers addressed the concerns raised. They said the design is mostly unchanged, and the plans remain like the initial filing.
Oakmount, owned by Paddy McKillen Jr, sold the site. They wanted €2.75 million last year. Oakmount also filed the current building plan.
