Woman shot dead near Knockholt’s Three Horseshoes pub after enjoying a drink inside. Police investigate possible suspect suicide.

The woman was in her 40s. She was shot in the pub’s car park, and sadly, she was declared dead at the scene Friday evening. People think she was a mother of two.
Police say the gunman knew her. He drove away after the shooting. Later, they found his car and a gun near the Queen Elizabeth II bridge. The bridge is in Dartford, around 14 miles away.
Reports say someone was spotted near the bridge’s edge on Friday night. Officers think he might have gone into the water.
A local councilor, Steve Maines, ate at the pub. He heard a commotion outside and knew someone had been shot. They had to leave immediately.
A shop worker nearby also heard things. Thivi Selva heard bangs and crying. Police quickly arrived and blocked the road.
The local vicar, Rev Tim Edwards, spoke about shock. People cannot believe this happened there, as the village is usually very peaceful.
The suspect and victim may not be from Kent, but they had some ties to the area. People left flowers and a teddy bear at the pub.
Police received reports about the man near the water, and they are not ruling out that possibility. They only seek one suspect right now. Police believe the public is not at further risk.
Specialist officers support the families. They are helping both families after this event.
