CCTV footage shows Omar Wilson at a nightclub 90 minutes after fatally attacking Mussie Imnetu in Queensway, London.

Mussie, aged 41, was visiting London from Dubai when he was found injured in Queensway on August 26 at 11:22 PM. He had sustained a serious head injury. Police arrived quickly, administering first aid, and paramedics transported Mussie to the hospital.
Despite doctors’ efforts, he died on August 30. Wilson claimed self-defense during the attack; however, the jury found him guilty of murder. After the attack, Wilson fled the scene, attempting to evade the police.
He then went to a nightclub in Gaunt Street, just 90 minutes after the attack. He left sunglasses, along with house and car keys, at the scene. Detectives were able to obtain DNA from these sunglasses.
The keys matched his house and car. Phone records further placed Wilson in Queensway at the time of the murder. Mussie was known as a respected chef, a husband, and a father, as well as a loving son.
CCTV footage showed the attack, and Wilson’s presence at the nightclub. Jurors also reviewed messages Wilson sent to friends afterward. In these messages, Wilson wrote that he felt like a “monster” and that things were “finished.”
Wilson added he thought he was going to jail and admitted to hurting someone badly. Allegedly, a friend suggested using ADHD as a defense. Police arrested Wilson on August 28 and charged him the following day.
His sentencing is scheduled for February 28. Wilson has not taken responsibility for his actions. Police expressed their condolences to Mussie’s family, who were located in Dubai, Sweden, and London.
Mussie, remembered as a loving man, was in London training colleagues. He went out after the Carnival celebrations but was tragically attacked.
