Two suspects appear in court after Campbell Scott, a Scottish businessman, was found dead in a sack near Nairobi.

It was in the Makongo forest, which is near Nairobi. His wrists and legs were tied, and he had injuries on his hands.
The suspects appeared before a magistrate, Lukas Onyina. Investigations show Scott went to Mutua’s house in Pipeline, Nairobi. Police believe he was killed there. The suspects allegedly used Scott’s credit cards in Nairobi, Voi, and Mombasa.
Police arrested them on March 1 on the Nairobi-Mombasa Road. The first suspect had moved his items from his address. The pair will stay in custody for 21 days, allowing police to continue investigating. They will return to court on March 21.
Scott’s phone and credit cards remain missing. The court was told about bail concerns, as police worry the suspects might flee. Officers arrested a prime suspect on Sunday, who was hiding in Mombasa. He had been hiding since February 18, when Scott was allegedly murdered.
The police released a taxi driver and a waiter who were arrested last week. Both are now witnesses. Police think at least two more people are involved and are still at large. They may be hiding in Nairobi or Mombasa.
Officers termed the arrest a breakthrough in this killing. DCI Mohamed Amin spoke about Scott’s murder case. He said they have a prime suspect, and the hunt for more suspects keeps going. They hope to find all people involved in this murder.
Toxicology tests are underway because Scott’s post-mortem results were inconclusive. Medics were puzzled by Scott’s death. The autopsy showed head injuries and other injuries. Yet, they might not have caused death.
A reporter spoke about the case. She said Scott may not have been murdered, suggesting he may have suffered complications after consuming a pill in Pipeline Estate, Nairobi, and the injuries may not have been from an attack.
Scott arrived in Kenya on February 15. He had a conference with FICO, where he was a senior director. Colleagues were worried when he did not return to his hotel after having drinks with a friend. His family arrived in Kenya last week amid the murder inquiry.
