Trial begins for two children accused in the death of 80-year-old Bhim Kohli in Leicestershire. Jury sworn in at Leicester Crown Court.

Two kids are accused in the case. A 15-year-old boy faces murder and manslaughter charges. A 13-year-old girl is charged with manslaughter. Their names aren’t public because they’re minors.
A jury has now been picked for the trial. This trial may last for six to eight weeks. It’s happening at Leicester Crown Court. The judge is Mr. Justice Turner, from the High Court.
The judge and lawyers won’t wear wigs or gowns. This is because the accused are children. The kids will sit in the back. Jurors learned this fact. Mr. Kohli died in a Nottingham hospital.
His family released a statement after his death. They described him as a loving husband, dad, and granddad. He was devoted to his grandkids, and family was always most important to him.
