A judge requests a mental health report for the suspect in the Dublin stabbings. The accused faces multiple charges.

The stabbings happened on February 9 around 3 PM. Two guys, in their 20s to 40s, got neck wounds. It happened on Gormantown Road and Niall Street. Gabrial Fereira Motta Valladares faces four charges. He didn’t ask to be released and stays in jail.
Police went to the scene, including armed units. An officer first stopped him. They charged him with hurting two men. This happened at Niall Street and Oxmanstown Road. He also faces weapons charges.
He had a box cutter on Murtagh Road. Black scissors were on Manor Street. Both streets are in Dublin 7. He went to court again and didn’t ask for bail.
Judge Gerard Jones sent him back to jail. Lawyer Eloise Flynn asked for the mental health report. The case is paused for two weeks.
Valladares looked upset at his first hearing. He stayed quiet and listened with an interpreter.
Detective Garda David Chapman spoke about the charges. Valladares said “no comment” to one. He said, “I was afraid to be killed” to another. He had “no reply” for the other two charges. He received free legal aid. The judge learned that he is unemployed.
