He broke into houses and stole things. He stole a doctor’s car and a motocross bike. He also stole sentimental items from another home. He broke into one house through the garage. It was near Windmill Hill.
He stole about £1,655 worth of stuff. This included a wedding dress and some ornaments. Police found him using forensic evidence. They found stolen items at his house too.
His DNA linked him to a stolen car. This same car helped connect him to other thefts. Bentley admitted to burglary and theft. Also, he pleaded guilty to handling stolen items. He already had a long criminal record. He had 41 previous offenses.
