Kalvin and Lancelot Whitelock went to the hospital. Sadly, both men died soon after. Police gathered evidence at the scene, marking shell casings with yellow.

Cops guarded the area at Cameron Lane after reports of gunshots around 2:50 p.m. last Wednesday, January 29. Police found three men with injuries and Jamaican officials said two men died. Randy Sweeney spoke about Kalvin Blackman, who was from New Cross in London.

Superintendent Sweeney said thieves stole a bag with money inside. They may have taken Kalvin’s watch and chain. Police think robbery was the reason.

Whitehall Avenue had a 48-hour curfew after the shooting, as it is near Cameron Lane. A witness spoke to a newspaper, saying the car came back and people started shooting. Kalvin and Lancelot drank inside a bar.

Another person heard a thief ask, “Did you get the bag?” The witness said that it was Kalvin’s bag, and the thieves drove away.

Police are investigating the deaths, which happened on Cameron Lane, on Whitehall Avenue in Kingston. Lancelot Whitelock and Kalvin Blackman died. Police reports say armed men arrived in a car and shot at the men at a bar. Whitelock and Blackman died at the hospital; the other man received treatment.

The Foreign Office helps Kalvin’s family. They are in contact with Jamaican police. No one has been arrested yet.
