A Jaguar driver sped through a red light, crashed into another car, mounted the pavement, and was arrested after a police chase.

The Jaguar was speeding. Officers in unmarked cars spotted it. The driver ignored their signals to stop, and the Jaguar sped through a red light.
It then crashed into a Vauxhall Astra further along James Roby Way. The Jaguar was damaged but kept going. The car neared the M62’s junction 7.
Police tried a tactical stop, but the Jaguar jumped the curb and passed other cars. The police finally stopped the car. A 36-year-old man got arrested.
He’s from Everton and suspected of breaking many laws. These include dangerous driving and driving without insurance. He also failed to stop for the cops.
The man refused to give breath or blood samples. Police suspect he was unfit to drive due to drugs. He’s now in police custody.
Chief Inspector Stuart McIver spoke about it. Thankfully, nobody got hurt during this event, and he said police stopped a very dangerous situation.
Police do not allow drivers to ignore road rules. They want to prevent injuries and deaths. Their “Vision Zero” plan aims to lower road collisions and wants fewer people hurt seriously.
