Inquest begins for motorcyclist Jonathan Rigby, 47, who died after a crash on the A487 near Bangor. Investigation underway.

He was taken to Ysbyty Gwynedd hospital but died there on January 30th. The coroner, Kate Robertson, stated his bike hit a car and a doctor declared his death at 8:02 AM.
Dr. Brian Rodgers, a forensic pathologist, did a post mortem. His report indicated head and neck injuries caused death, though this was a preliminary finding.
Police are still investigating the crash in North Wales. Robertson delayed the inquest, allowing more time for the investigation to be completed.
Robertson spoke to Rigby’s family at the hearing, saying, “I’m very sorry for your loss.” Rigby was born in Bangor and worked as a lorry driver.
His family shared a tribute, stating Jon loved music and was very active and healthy. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather of two. He had just moved to Anglesey to live his dreams with his wife, but sadly, that is now impossible. The family needs time to grieve, and they thanked those who helped at the scene, including first responders and bystanders.
