An inquest has begun following the death of an 18-year-old on Hampden Street in Nottingham.

A coroner is looking into it now. Her name is Fiona Gingell. She started an inquest on February 21 at Nottingham Coroner’s Court. This was just a short hearing.
Hampden Street has NTU student housing. Byron, Gill Street South, and Sandby are there, so is Hampden. More details will come later at the full inquest.
Gingell said Butler was eighteen. She confirmed he died on Hampden Street. A security officer identified him. Police attended the scene as well.
The death seemed unnatural, she noted. That’s why she opened the inquest. More investigation is needed soon. The final hearing date isn’t set yet.
Gingell gave her condolences to Butler’s family and friends regarding their loss.
NottinghamshireLive reached out to NTU and Nottinghamshire Police. They asked for statements.
