Two neglected lurchers discovered abandoned in Leicestershire. Both dogs are receiving care from the RSPCA.

The dogs were lurchers, and both were in bad shape with untreated wounds. The male dog also had a swollen leg. Vets gave them pain relief and antibiotics before they went to an RSPCA center.
Inspectors are now figuring out what happened and want to know who abandoned them there. The dogs were also malnourished when they were found.
The male dog is named Doug and is about one or two years old. The RSPCA said he was in very poor condition. Jazz, the female, is around five years old and had a microchip.
Both dogs are getting vet care, and they have lots of wounds and skin problems. Experts believe they were neglected for a while, and Doug especially needs food.
An RSPCA inspector is investigating and thinks it is awful what happened to them. She spoke to Jazz’s previous owner, who gave her away two years back.
Call 0300 123 8018 if you know anything, and remember to mention incident number 01442140. The RSPCA said the dogs are getting better and are wagging tails now.
