Humber Dock Street undergoes improvements for a maritime trail, enhancing access and linking historic Hull sites.

The project links Hull’s maritime roots. Historic places will connect by routes. These routes link Old Town to the Fruit Market, sharing Hull’s sea history.
Updates include fixing the dockside path, improving access for everyone. New signs will tell the maritime story. They will also plant trees and add seating, adding new play areas to boost energy.
Pedestrian detours are set up now. A street section will be closed, with vehicle access stopped and parking suspended. People helped plan changes in August 2024.
Councillor Mark Ieronimo shared his thoughts. He said the upgrades match a new maritime trail, linking key sites getting renewed as part of the Hull Maritime program.
The plans make spaces more open and easy. Landscaping, seats, and history displays get better. A new green space also goes on Humber Dock Street.
C R Reynolds is doing the work. Funding comes from National Highways and the council. The job should finish later this year, improving Hull’s city and culture.
