Police found buried remains near Thirsk. They were looking for a murdered mother. The location was on the A19 road. This layby is in North Yorkshire.

Rania Alayed was killed in June 2013. She was 25 and lived in Teesside. Her estranged husband, Ahmed Al-Khatib, killed her. He killed her in his brother’s Salford flat.

He tried to make people think she was alive. Al-Khatib said he buried her near the A19. The body was never found until now. Greater Manchester Police think it’s Rania.

Officers found the remains by the A19. They had been searching there since Monday. Police haven’t confirmed the identity yet. Rania’s family knows about this news.
