Human remains found on M4 near Bristol prompts investigation, causing major traffic delays to and from Wales.

The remains were between junctions 20 and 21, near Awkley in South Gloucestershire. Drivers called 999 around 6:40 pm on Saturday after seeing something on the motorway.
Police officers went to the scene and found the remains. They are figuring out how the person ended up there. The police have notified his family.
Traffic faced major delays in both directions, to and from South Wales. Part of the M4 between junctions 20 and 22 was closed. Closures also impacted the M48, which connects the bridge to the M4.
National Highways freed traffic from the M4 and M48 eastbound around midnight. The eastbound M4 reopened around 1:30 am Sunday, and westbound closures ended by 3 am.
Police ask anyone who traveled that M4 section to help. They want people with information or dashcam footage to contact them.
