A look back at Hull’s St Andrew’s Quay leisure park, a popular spot in the 90s with a cinema, bowling alley and restaurants.

Now, St Andrew’s Quay has furniture stores, a big B&Q store, and a busy McDonald’s drive-thru. The 1990s were different. It was the hot spot to meet friends back then.
Many remember lining up for movies. UCI cinema showed Titanic and Star Wars. A red carpet made people feel special, mirroring a star-studded movie premiere.
Megabowl was the cool place to hang out. Classic songs played on the stereo. It also had its own Wimpy burger place.
The Exchange diner served American food nearby. Jazzbo Browns club boasted pool tables and featured aeroplane decorations. Deep Pan Pizza Co catered to families.
The retail park sat on old St Andrew’s Dock. Parts of the buildings actually started sinking. They decided to rebuild everything back in 2004, and many buildings were bulldozed.
