St Stephen’s shopping center celebrates World Book Day with a free book swap, aided by book donations.

The shopping center gave over 50 new books. This helps make sure there is something for everyone. The Little Library is in its second year, and it lets people read many books without cost. Readers have swapped hundreds of books.
The Little Library is near the TK Maxx store. You can take a book and read it. Then you can return it or bring a new book.
Jim Harris is the center manager. He says reading helps people’s minds. He is happy to offer free books, allowing people to give their old books new homes.
The shelves are stocked with new books, helping visitors find books they like. The Works store also gives free books. You need a World Book Day token. You can use it until Sunday, March 23rd.
St Stephen’s helps kids read with another program; it is the Young Readers Programme. British Land sponsors this program and works with the National Literacy Trust. This encourages kids to read for fun. They have given over 9,700 books in Hull. Over 3,200 students have joined.
