It’s already February, time for half-term! Kids need things to do. Hull has many activities planned, so there is no need for boredom.

Some options are totally free, which helps families save money. Other activities have reasonable prices, and discounted offers make money stretch further.

Here are five ideas for Hull families to consider. The Fairy Trail returns from February 15-25 in the Avenues area of Hull.

Rhiannon Beeson started it in 2020 as a safe, fun activity during the pandemic. More than 50 homes host fairy displays, making it a magical wonderland for everyone. Families can also enjoy four special events.

There are arts and craft sessions with Artlink, and Fantastic Faces hosts crafts in Pearson Park. You must book places for Pearson Park online. The Fairy Trail is completely free, and you can find maps at thefairytrail.co.uk, 82 Park Avenue, or Artlink.

St Stephen’s offers half-term deals from February 17-21. Prezzo has a Kids Eat Free deal: one free kid’s meal with an adult main. The Entertainer has hands-on events and 50% off select toys.

Rock Up has climbing walls and soft play. A family pass costs £58.95 and includes two kids and two adults for one hour. Laser Station bundles two games with a Fun Card.

Healthy Holidays Hull provides free activities from February 15-21, offering sports, cooking, and more. Activities include food, and they have SEND programs.

aScEND Hull offers events for the SEND community, including arts, dance, and Lego therapy. Sessions are on February 17 and 20 and cost £5 per person, while parents attend free.

William’s Den has a magical half-term with events from February 15-23. William’s Magical Spectacular includes magic shows, crafts, and family challenges, and these activities come with admission.

Hull’s maritime guided tours return, starting on Saturday, February 15. Volunteers lead the free tours as they explore Hull’s maritime heritage. Tours are Thursdays and Saturdays at 10:30 am, and Sunday tours are at 11:30 am and 1:30 pm.
