B-Side is now open on Newland Ave, after Zoo closed. It has a new menu, look and atmosphere. The food and coffee are amazing.

I went to Zoo a lot since 2012. I wondered about the new place. It’s under new owners and has a new menu. Zoo was a vegan café. They served homemade lunches and cakes.
Zoo had a jungle theme. The furniture didn’t match. It felt jumbled but cozy. B-Side looks cleaner. It has a pale green color scheme.
Upstairs feels less cluttered at B-Side. It’s easier to move between tables now. I miss Zoo’s quirky vibe a bit. The benches look comfy at B-Side. Sunlight makes upstairs pretty.
They serve sandwiches on homemade bread. Focaccia is popular, but it sold out quickly. Ciabatta was available. I chose Caprese: rocket, tomatoes, and mozzarella. They also have salt beef, chicken Caesar, and vegan mushroom.
B-Side serves special coffee too. I got a black Americano. It came quickly even though they were busy. The coffee was amazing. It tasted smooth and strong. It had no bitter taste.
My sandwich was good. I wanted the focaccia bread though. It would have made it better. I’ll return for the pizza. They serve it in the evening.
