Farmland in Honley may become a nine home estate. Each house to have 4+ beds and 27 parking spaces.

The homes could be on farmland at Hollinghurst Farm, Hall Ing Lane. The plan shows two or three-story houses, each with four or more bedrooms. The estate should have 27 parking spaces. Access will be from Southwood Road.
The council’s Local Plan includes this land, stating 14 to 17 homes could fit. The applicant thinks nine homes is best; they say nine homes aids the housing shortage. The site is sloped, making more homes difficult.
Public input ends on March 5. One person has objected so far; this person lives across from the field’s entrance. They fear noise and traffic problems and wonder how trucks will navigate the small road.
The applicant says they met all rules and will consider feedback from all. They want the homes to blend in and the design will consider the area. This will help the plan fit the community.
House styles will match Hall Ing’s homes. The council should decide by March 26.
