Daisy’s Cottage in Hollington, once a holiday rental, is for sale after falling occupancy and profits.

It used to be a holiday rental. Costs rose, sadly, and its occupancy went down. So, they got permission for it to become a one-bedroom house. The council didn’t really want that.
The council worried about losing tourist places. However, the planning committee said yes and approved the one-bedroom plan anyway.
Occupancy dropped a lot from 2022 to 2024, falling from 68% to 52%. Profits also went down fast too, going from £16,489 to £4,212. That is quite a big decrease.
Tom Wilkinson spoke for the owner. He said the cottage isn’t making money and noted occupancy keeps dropping. They tried to market it as a holiday let for a year, but no one wanted it, unfortunately.
Rightmove says it’s a stone cottage offering a chance to live in a nice village. The cottage was once the Blacksmiths and has lovely parking and a courtyard.
