Two bodies, Natalie Jones, 39, and Jonathan Williams, 47, were found in a Hirwaun flat after a family raised concerns.

Police went to the flat on February 21st at around 5:45 PM. Someone called them because of concerns, and sadly, they found both Natalie and Jonathan.
Claire Roberts spoke at Natalie’s inquest. She mentioned the family couldn’t reach Natalie; they had not spoken in two weeks. Furthermore, police had to force their way into the apartment. They found Natalie and Jonathan there, and drug stuff was also present.
Fingerprints helped identify Natalie. Dr. Richard Jones did an autopsy on February 26th. He couldn’t confirm her cause of death yet, stating that more tests are needed. The coroner thinks both deaths may be linked.
The coroner, Kerrie Burge, started the inquest, stating an investigation is needed and that the death seemed unnatural. She also expressed her sympathy to Natalie’s family.
Natalie’s family is devastated by her death. In a statement, they described her fondly as a loving and compassionate person. They asked for privacy during this hard time and for respect for the police investigation.
Jonathan’s inquest also took place. Dr. Richard Jones did his autopsy too on February 27th. Like Natalie, his cause of death is still unknown, and further testing is in progress.
Coroner Burge started Jonathan’s inquest. She thinks his death was possibly unnatural and stated that further investigations are required. Then, she offered her condolences. Both inquests were then put on hold, with full inquests to happen later.
