Popular Northumberland garden center unveils reopening with freebies for first shoppers. New restaurant, jobs added.

British Garden Centres now runs the place. They’re fixing it up right now. They will add a carvery restaurant. Soft play and mini golf stay as they are. The center has stayed closed during the work.
The first 100 shoppers on March 8 and 9 get gifts. The gifts are “special goody bags.” These bags feature gardening stuff. Staff will help people find what they need. They have refreshed tools, plants, and more.
The store sells more plants and garden items. They sell outdoor furniture by Fern Living. Only British Garden Centres have that. Other shops are there too, like Cotton Traders and Pavers. More are coming in May it seems.
Jordan Beck manages the Heighley Gate center. He says they’re happy to reopen. He wants to be a top spot for gardening and a leisure destination. His team worked hard to prepare.
British Garden Centres now owns it near Morpeth. They have created around 40 new jobs at the 18-acre spot. Twenty jobs are in the new restaurant. Fifteen to twenty are seasonal or permanent. They kept forty workers from before.
Recently, they reopened a Dobbies site near Gosforth Park. Dobbies closed it during a reshuffle. David Domoney helped reopen that store. It created about 25 jobs, isn’t that cool?
