Seven headless seals discovered on Tendring beaches, sparking investigation and public concern about their deaths.

A local group tracks seal news. It’s called Tendring Seal Watch. They saw two headless seals on February 19. One was at Walton. The other rested at Holland-on-Sea.
Now, there are seven dead seals. Tendring Seal Watch posted on Facebook. They said the authorities know about the seals. The council, CSIP, and BDMLR are informed. They are now investigating these seal deaths.
British Divers Marine Life Rescue also commented. They said natural causes are possible. Decomposition could explain it. They will stay open-minded. More info might surface later.
Tendring Council has a procedure for dead seals. They want people to report them. You should call the council with the location. The number is 01255686868 during work hours. Call 01255222022 after hours.
Don’t touch the dead seal. Keep your distance. The council will remove it. It may take some time. They aren’t an emergency service. Tides, location, and size affect removal.
