An 8 year old boy died after falling from a window in Sherwood. A head injury was the confirmed cause of death.

Police investigated the property the next day and did not think his death was suspicious. An inquest started at Nottingham Council House. The post-mortem showed a head injury caused his death; this happened on Monday, March 3.
Paramedics first helped Hamid at his home. After that, he died at the Queen’s Medical Centre. The coroner, Gordon Clow, postponed the inquest, stating that a full hearing would be held later after further investigation.
The coroner shared his sympathy with Hamid’s family, acknowledging the upsetting nature of this loss at such a young age. Chief Inspector Jon Scurr also spoke about the boy, calling it a tragic and devastating loss, and extending his thoughts to the family.
Scurr added that the incident was very distressing, and he believed the whole community felt it. People who lived nearby called it “tragic” and “horrible.” Someone even started a fundraiser to help Hamid’s family during this difficult time.
