Vandals spray-painted sectarian graffiti on a Renfrewshire community center, leaving the leader heartbroken.

Robert saved the center back in 2017 and has worked hard to keep it open. Green paint was used for the graffiti, with “CFC” and “UC” also painted on the front of the building.
Robert said it was mindless and hateful vandalism. At first, he thought it was a fake photo, but he cried when he realized it was real. He manages the place as a community leader.
A local business quickly helped by cleaning and repainting the building without asking for payment. However, the center needs funding to stay open and may not last past summer soon.
Robert needs £15,000 to save the center, which people use for fitness and youth activities. They need a new boiler and other repairs, and he said he gave a lot to the building, but the repairs are increasing now too.
Seeing the graffiti was upsetting for him, but Robert said support from the community is great with people being very kind and supportive. Thankfully, repairs did not cost them anything, and Police Scotland has been contacted.
