A man admitted manslaughter in court recently; his actions led to another man’s death. The victim was Anthony Littlewood.

Jamie Smith appeared in Teesside Crown Court on Wednesday and faced a manslaughter charge. Mr. Littlewood, 39, lived in Hartlepool and suffered bad injuries last year on June 8.

Smith, of Hartlepool, confirmed his details in the Middlesbrough court. Then, he pleaded guilty to manslaughter. The judge wants a report before sentencing.

The judge told Smith the sentence date; it is March 27 this year. He granted Smith bail, requiring him to attend court for sentencing. Smith is 24 years old.

The incident happened on Hart Lane. Police were called around 6:30 p.m. Mr. Littlewood went to James Cook Hospital and later died there.

Police stated a man was attacked near Serpentine Road around 6:45 p.m. The 39-year-old had a head injury and was taken to the hospital.
