A woman died in her flat in Hammersmith. She was 36 years old. This happened after a man tried to get inside. Police were called to Coulter Road around 10:13 PM on Sunday, February 9th.

Police arrived quickly and went into the flat. They found the woman had died, and it looked like she had been hit on the head. A 38-year-old man was arrested there and is suspected of murder. The man is still in police custody now, and they have started a murder investigation.

The police have not told her family yet, and they also have to formally identify her. A post-mortem examination will happen soon as detectives are still looking into the events.

Police are asking for the public’s help, wondering if anyone saw or heard anything. DCI Ollie Stride leads the investigation and wants people to contact them with information because he knows this affects the community a lot.

Stride’s team needs to know what happened. Call 101 and say CAD 6487/9Feb if you know something. You can also call Crimestoppers at 0800 555 111 instead, as they want to understand what took place.
