Hall Hill Farm in County Durham, under 20 miles from Newcastle, wins a top UK award with over 100,000 visitors.

Ann Darlington and her son Richard run Hall Hill Farm. The farm is in Lanchester. Over 100,000 people visited in 2024. It started as a lambing event in 1981 and is now a popular family destination.
Hall Hill Farm has won many awards before. This is its first UK-wide best farm award. Richard and Ann accepted the award in Blackpool, where the UK’s top farm attractions gathered.
Richard spoke after winning with a pygmy goat. He said they won farm attraction of the year for 2025 and stated it is a huge industry award. He added that it’s a busy time with new animal arrivals and lambing season is coming soon.
Richard mentioned the farm’s 44-year history. He said it’s more than just him and his mom running it. He also thanked their staff and supporters.
Ann shared her excitement about their award. She said it recognized their hard work, which makes Hall Hill Farm special.
