The Sparking Clog in Bury is temporarily closing for a £400,000 makeover, set to reopen on March 14th with new features.

The pub will have a new bar and big 4K TVs are coming. They will add a TV outside, too, in the spacious beer garden. Brewery Marston’s shared pictures that show the pub’s new look. A new family lounge is also planned, which families can use for dining.
Gary Hanmer is the General Manager, and he said he’s eager for the reopening to welcome the community. The pub is central to Radcliffe, and many local people live nearby. They will offer new food and drinks, so there’s now something for everyone.
Locals can enjoy drinks and food, with Prosecco costing £12.99 on Fridays. You can also get two cocktails from £10 daily. The pub will still serve classic dishes, as burgers and platters will be on the menu.
Starters and sharers also feature, including loaded fries and nachos, while chicken wings are also available. Classic dishes include sausage and mash, and Hunter’s chicken is another option. They will offer fish and chips, plus more.
Marston’s has over 1,600 pubs in England, Scotland, and Wales. The locations range from traditional pubs to country venues. The Sparking Clog closed on February 17th and is set to open March 14th.
