Brothers face more jail time if they don’t pay back over £80,000 after a £1.2m cocaine heist and drug dealing in North West.

Jason and Craig robbed a rival drug gang in May 2020, during the Covid lockdown. They raided a house full of drugs, and attacked two men inside with weapons. The gang stole about 30 kilos of cocaine.
Jason Cox got a prison sentence of 14 years, 8 months. Craig Cox got 13 years, 6 months, later reduced to 11. Lee Cox didn’t join the raid, but got eight years for drug crimes.
The court ordered Jason to pay £40,346, and Craig must pay £40,480. Lee has to pay £40,000. Each brother faces nine more months in jail if they don’t pay what they owe.
Prosecutors said the brothers sold cocaine and cannabis to dealers in the North West. Jason and Lee ran to Spain, but were brought back to the UK in 2021. The CPS will have another hearing for others involved.
The CPS works to take money from criminals to stop organized crime. They can take people back to court if they find more assets later. The CPS has recovered millions from such orders, and debts remain until paid.
