British Garden Centres revives the old Dobbies site in Gosforth, promising a new garden shopping experience.

Dobbies said the Gosforth store wasn’t making money. British Garden Centres took over in October. They’re adding a carvery restaurant, which creates about fifteen jobs. They promised more plants and garden stuff too.
Martin Buckle manages the Gosforth Garden Centre. He’s happy to revive the old Dobbies spot. Gardening season is almost here, and he wants locals to visit the updated store. He hopes the community enjoys it.
Charles Stubbs started British Garden Centres. He had TV gardener David Domoney open it. Domoney said visitors were in for a surprise. Then, people could finally shop for plants and fish.
Stubbs said Gosforth is important. He’s happy to join the community and has big plans for the store’s future. He wants it to be the only gardening stop.
