A Glasgow student tragically died shortly after showing flu symptoms. Her mother is devastated by the sudden loss.

Precious collapsed at home on January 15 in their Shawlands family home. Her mom, Nomvula Booi, took her to the hospital. Precious studied at Strathclyde University. The cause of death remains unknown, even after a post-mortem exam couldn’t give answers.
Nomvula is devastated by the sudden loss and said it all happened very quickly. Precious had a cold a few days before she collapsed at their house and passed away in the hospital. Nomvula doesn’t understand it, as her daughter was a healthy person.
Precious mentioned having a cold, and they bought medicine. They didn’t realize it was serious. Nomvula is living a nightmare because the cause of her daughter’s death is unknown. The post-mortem found nothing at all, so they must wait for the toxicology report.
It’s awful not knowing what caused it, especially since Precious hadn’t seen a doctor since birth. Precious went to Lourdes Secondary School and also worked at Morrisons Crossmyloof. Her mom called her the perfect daughter, who made friends very easily.
Her mom said Precious was a kind and friendly person. People liked her kindness and respect. She made sure everyone got along well and she worked hard at Morrisons. Her colleagues said she was sweet and humble and they loved her from the start.
Lecturers called Precious a joy to teach, and Nomvula feels the loss deeply. To give her a good send-off, they created a fundraiser for Precious’s funeral. People have already donated £4000 to cover funeral costs and celebrate her life.
Precious went to St Saviours Primary School and studied at Langside College too. Biomedicine was her passion at university and working in healthcare was her dream . The family appreciates the support from friends, family, and strangers helping now. All donations will help give Precious a dignified farewell, and they are very grateful.
