Runners got lost in Glasgow due to a prank. Someone messed with race signs during the event. The race took place at Castlemilk Woodlands. This happened on Sunday, February 16.

A person pretended to be a race marshal. The imposter moved and hid path markers. Acorn Trails condemned the prank incident, saying it could have put runners at risk. The organizers posted about the incident and expressed bitterness and disappointment on Facebook.

The person buried an arrow and moved another, directing runners the wrong way. This action endangered the runners’ safety, taking them off course and further into the park. Runners were moved away from first aid, and organisers were disappointed a marshal wasn’t there.

They admitted they should’ve had a marshal there, but resources are limited and they chose the wrong spot. They didn’t expect interference at that location. Clyde 1 DJ George Bowie mentioned this prank.

He wondered what elaborate pranks others knew. A runner shared that they had a good story. Others said it was not the organizer’s fault and runners enjoyed the race, despite the trouble. One runner enjoyed the race, even with added distance.

Another runner loved the event very much. Those affected got a discount. They received 50% off the Linn Park Trail entry, which takes place on March 16.
