Councillor calls for a Glasgow road closure after a year-long rubbish mound is cleared near the M8.

The cleanup is good for Broomhouse. It is located in the East End near the M8 and M73. The trash was ruining the neighborhood, with walkers seeing mattresses, gas canisters, and other waste. It spoiled their strolls for a long time.
Scottish Road Partnership removed the mess. People were unsure who should remove it. Councillor Lalley is very happy, noting many take walks there, including families, dog walkers, and nature lovers who use the space.
Councillor Lalley thanked the Scottish Road Partnership. They removed all that waste and debris, which people dumped carelessly, showing no respect for walkers. Drivers likely used Dykehead Street at night and then dumped the garbage.
Councillor Lalley had asked for action before. Chris and Kim Cameron, who walk their dog Leo there, were also concerned. Some items dumped include a bed and clothing. Lalley stated you could furnish a house with it.
