A stolen car from Edinburgh was chased by police ending in Glasgow. The driver fled after the car was stopped on Alderman Road.

A police helicopter helped with the chase, as officers followed the car through Glasgow. The chase began near Cumbernauld, on the M80, and the police eventually stopped it on Alderman Road, between Knightswood and Yoker.
Someone noticed the car in Edinburgh earlier, around 3:30 pm, on the A8. They found it near junction 7 on the M80 later, fifty minutes later, going southbound.
The driver didn’t stop for the police, and the chase started after that. They stopped the car on Alderman Road, but the driver got out and ran away.
Police arrested a man aged 20. They charged him because of the incident, and he will be in court in Glasgow on Friday, February 14. He faces charges for traffic offenses.
The police said they saw the car at 3:30 pm on the A8 in Edinburgh. Then, they found it on the M80 around 4:20 pm. The driver did not stop for them, so they chased him.
Police stopped the car on Alderman Road. The driver then ran away, and a 20-year-old man got arrested. He faces many traffic charges and goes to Glasgow Sheriff Court Friday.
