A Glasgow man, David Young, feels uneasy. Someone stole his wallet from his car, then went on a shopping spree.

David, 43, parked his car Tuesday night on Wyndford Estate in Maryhill after finishing a long work shift. He found it broken into the next morning. The thief took his wallet and gym bag. David accidentally left his car unlocked.

The thief used the card at stores and for Uber. Video shows someone in the car around 2 AM. The thief’s luck ended at a hotel where the card didn’t work. David told Glasgow Live about this incident. He feels “violated” because of this carelessness.

David forgot to lock his car after coming home. Video shows the guy checking every car. It was just luck his car was open. David noticed his console felt wrong because he knew his wallet was inside.

He found the back seats down, confirming his car had been raided. The doorbell camera showed the theft, revealing the man couldn’t open the boot because David had tools and golf gear inside.

The thief shopped around, spending money at Tesco. He took trips to McDonald’s, used Ubers, and tried a hotel. It made David feel violated, especially since he is usually very careful. David got back the money spent and the police started investigating the theft.

He thinks the thief is from around there and offers money for information. A neighbor thinks he knows the thief, and the Tesco guard also saw someone similar. David asked younger people for help, hoping the reward money will help someone speak up.

David asks anyone with information to contact police. The police are looking into this incident.
