A Glasgow man has been convicted of fatally stabbing Ryan Willcox at a property in Castlemilk.

Someone called emergency services to Stravanan Road after an alarm. They arrived on Friday, July 28, 2023. Sadly, Ryan Willcox, age 21, died there. The police then arrested James Wilson and charged him relative to the death.
James Wilson, age 20, stood trial in Glasgow’s High Court. The court found him guilty of stabbing Willcox. He will learn his sentence later.
Detective Inspector Stuart Gillies commented that he hopes the verdict brings justice for Ryan’s loved ones. Gillies says their thoughts remain with Willcox’s family and Wilson will now face the results of his acts.
Gillies stated that these crimes rarely occur now, but when they do, police use every resource available. They conduct complete inquiries, track down offenders, and quickly bring them to justice. He thanked the officers and the public that helped their inquiries.
