Firefighters responded to a gas leak and blaze, evacuating residents from North Kelvinside.

Police evacuated people from North Kelvinside. It was around 11:45 AM on February 22nd, 2025. Police closed Maryhill Road at several intersections. Garscube Road, Queen Margaret Drive, and Hinshaw Road are affected. Northpark Street is still closed, too.
You cannot drive onto Dunard Street right now. Someone filmed firefighters working on Maryhill Road. Police were standing nearby, according to the footage available.
The roads are still closed, I understand. Residents are waiting for more information on when they can return home. The public should also avoid the area near the incident for safety.
