Hey, guess what I just read? A big allotment fire happened in Gateshead. It was in Crawcrook village. The fire started after 9 p.m. on Monday. Police and firefighters went there right away.

The fire service sent three teams. Thankfully, nobody got hurt in the fire. Two caravans, though, were completely destroyed. Crews came from Newcastle and Swalwell, and one team came from Northumberland. They put out the fire quickly.

The fire took place at the allotments on Ryton’s Crawcrook. They evacuated a horse from the area. Police helped out too, and firefighters left around 9:58 p.m. The fire left a lot of damage.

Police are now investigating what caused it. The fire service called them after the fire happened in Eden Dale, Crawcrook. Officers arrived with firefighters and together, they put the blaze out fast.
