Jason & Craig Cox face more jail for a million pound cocaine robbery. They are ordered to repay their illegal profits.

The Cox gang posed as delivery drivers. They stormed the house and slashed a man. This attack exposed both Cox’s and Coggins’ operations. Investigators accessed the EncroChat network.
Jason, 38, and Craig, 35, got prison terms for the robbery. They returned to court this week and must repay their illegal gains. Otherwise, they face nine more months in jail. Lee Cox, 41, also appeared in court because he was involved in drug supply.
The judge determined how much each brother gained. Jason earned £1,856,944 from crime while Craig made £1,674,443. Lee profited £864,453. They must repay all available money. Jason must pay £40,346, Craig owes £40,480, and Lee needs to pay £40,000.
The Cox gang’s raid occurred May 23, 2020. They knew it was Coggins’ stash house and brought an axe and machete. Craig sent Ben Monks-Gorton, who posed as a delivery driver.
Monks-Gorton knocked with a box, and the robbers rushed inside. The victims suffered serious injuries; Paul Glynn had a severe wound. The robbers fled with cocaine in bags. Monks-Gorton had worn a mask, and his DNA was found on it.
Jason Cox and Caswell split the stolen cocaine. Cox sold his share to Leon Atkinson, who is connected to Dale Cregan. They met to hand over the drugs using the password “Man City.” Jason bragged about stealing cocaine and said they’d keep it secret.
Coggins tried to recover his stolen drugs. He suspected Brian Maxwell Jr instead of Caswell. Police warned Maxwell about Coggins’ plans. Coggins even planned to blackmail and kill Maxwell.
Police arrested Coggins and his associates. Coggins went to jail for 28 years. Jason and Lee Cox fled to Spain in 2021. They were brought back to court.
Prosecutors described the Cox gang as drug dealers linked to cocaine and cannabis. Jason Cox teamed with Caswell to target the Huyton Firm. Caswell’s lawyer said he was under threat in prison.
Craig Cox received 13-and-a-half years in prison, and Caswell got seven years. Lee Cox was jailed for eight years. A judge called the raid a “meticulously executed crime,” and the CPS will pursue their illegal profits. They risk more prison time if they don’t pay.
