Woman who hid £300k of MDMA as bath salts, caught at airport, ordered to pay £1 despite earning £88k from crime.

It was worth £300,000 on the street.
Abigail Kavanagh, age 25, lived in Cardiff. She was arrested in a drug import operation handled by the regional crime unit, Tarian.
Border Force found the package on March 8 last year. It came to East Midlands Airport, addressed to her.
The contents looked like bath salts at first, but testing showed 10kg of MDMA. Police checked Kavanagh’s phone after arresting her.
They found messages about supplying spice to prisons located across south Wales.
Judge Daniel Williams made a statement during her sentencing, saying she knew the risks. She was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison and lived in Ely at the time.
A Proceeds of Crime Act hearing was held in Newport to discuss the crime profits. Kavanagh gained over £88,000 from her illegal actions.
But she has nothing to pay back; therefore the judge ordered her to pay £1 or spend one more day in jail.
