Police are looking into an incident in Galway city. It happened at a home where someone was sleeping when a man in dark clothes entered the bedroom.

This incident occurred on Sunday, February 9, 2025, at a home in Eyre Square. Police say the man appeared to hide something, putting it under his jacket when he left. The incident happened between 7:10 pm and 8 pm.

The living room window and door glass got smashed. The homeowner said two men smashed the windows with what they think were iron bars. Both men then got into a small dark car and drove toward Newcastle.
