A cyclist in his nineties died after a crash involving a truck on the N59 near Clydagh, Galway. Gardai are investigating.

A truck and a cyclist collided. The cyclist was a man in his nineties, and he got seriously hurt in the crash. They rushed him to UHG and sadly, they pronounced him dead soon after.
The police are still there right now, and they have closed the road to traffic. Forensic investigators are looking into it and are working at the scene. Traffic diversions are still happening.

Police say a fatal crash happened in Moycullen on Thursday, February 20, 2025. Emergency services went to a truck and cyclist crash at Clydagh on the N59 around noon. The cyclist was sent to the hospital by ambulance.
