Lighthouse keepers in Kinsale, Ireland, were shocked to find a fox at the top of their 30-meter tower following strong winds.

The lighthouse sits at the Old Head in Kinsale. The fox managed to climb the thirty-meter tower somehow. It’s quite a feat for a little fox!
Alan and Catherine Boyers found the fox hiding. They are the lighthouse keepers there. During storms, animals find safe places; maybe the fox thought the lighthouse was safest.
The keepers think strong winds opened a hatch. Then, the fox slipped inside the tower. They caught the fox pretty easily, thankfully. After that, they released it back into the wild.
They shared the tale on social media too. They said they’ve seen storms and lightning strikes; however, a fox in the lighthouse was new.
The wind sometimes blows the tower door open. This little fox climbed all the way up to the tower’s top catwalk.
Everyone knows foxes can climb well. They often climb high walls and such. But no one heard of lighthouse climbing before. It had great views from up there.
The keepers got him back safely without trouble. They told him he made great memories. Now, he’s back in his cozy den.
